Coldharbour Ranch may have a growing season of indeterminate length that could include frost and snow into May, but through innovative agriculture practices Coldharbour aims to cultivate a new understanding of high altitude agriculture. Through research, demonstration, and promotion of sustainable agricultural techniques including animal husbandry, regenerative grazing, diverse types of gardens, and growing structures the Coldharbour Ranch will serve as a space to engage the community in creating a localized, renewable food system.
Calder Farm is partnering with Coldharbour this summer (2016) and has put in the first garden at Coldharbour Ranch in over 30 years!
Blaine and MJ Pickett are a husband and wife team, with, of course, their little sidekick, a black lab named Bingham. Calder Farm deeply believes in healthy people and healthy land. They offer fresh, sustainable food, grown in our community, for our community.
Blaine and MJ have a been growing food for a combined 10 years. They are excited to provide fresh foods to the community while also sharing information and creating a deep connection to the earth and their neighbors.
