Coldharbour Institute has a wonderful partnership with Western Colorado University's School of Environment and Sustainability. From our founding, the merger of SES's Applied Sustainability Institute has brought the community of students, resilient studies, and systems thinking into our programming. Our Executive Director works as a part-time professor in the School of Environment and Sustainability, and many of our fellows and student partners are Western students from multiple programs, most notable the Masters in Environmental Management and Masters in Fine Arts Nature Writing. 

Coldharbour is proud to serve as a learning laboratory for students, undergraduate and graduate, as well as faculty members of Western Colorado University. We offer fellowships, research and internship opportunities, and field trips for students to apply their knowledge of and in sustainability and regenerative practices in a hands-on and experiential format.
